Here at the George Inn we offer a warm and friendly bar and lounge area which is very popular

with the locals and all of our visitors.  With a cosy open log fire and an original 17th century

flagstone floor it is the perfect setting for you to enjoy the tipple of your fancy and make friends.

Legend has it that Judge George Jeffreys (The Hanging Judge) sat and held court in the public bar,

this is where he summoned countless rebels to hang for their part in the Rebellion of Monmouth

(The Battle of Sedgemoor). Something for you to think about whilst choosing your seat!

We only sell the best in beers, bitters, ales and ciders behind the bar. Along with fine

white & red wines and all the typical top shelf shorts, including several not so typical.

plus 2 changing guest beers.

Thatchers Gold, Cornish Rattler,

as are many different bottled beers and alcho-pops.

Well we have a wide assortment of snacks at the bar such as Nuts, Crisps, Cheddars,

Bacon & Scampi Fries, Twiglets, Pork Scratchings, Pickled Onions and Picked Eggs etc. 

For the sweet toothed a variety of chocolate bars.
